Hello

I'm a fifth year political science PhD candidate at Arizona State University studying American Politics. I hold a Master of Arts in Political Science from ASU, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from James Madison University (JMU), and a Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication from JMU. My research interests include political communication, public opinion, civic engagement, civic education, media in politics, and women in politics. My dissertation examines the influence of impromptu and informal political rhetoric on Twitter on political perceptions and actions at the federal, gubernatorial, and individual level during times of crisis.
